Week 2

Hey everybody,
Well, I hope everybody had a wonderful week, I know i did. I am learning so much here at the MTC, and feel the Spirit every single day. It is a wonderful feeling. So about every day, we get to teach two or three lessons to fake investigators. It is really hard sometimes, but it is amazing how the spirit can fill your mouth with the right words. On Saturday, I was teaching this one investigator who asked some hard questions that I didn't know how to answer, but as I started to talk, I said some things that I never would have normally said. I am just so amazed how that works. Teaching is easy now! As long as I study hard and keep the spirit with me, the Spirit will fill my mouth with what to say. However, this only works if you study. This reminds me of something one of my amazing teachers said, "the Holy Ghost cannot draw from an empty well." That is soo true. If we want to have the spirit with us and have it help us, we have to do our part.
One of the most significant things I have learned for myself, and for investigators, is that the spirit will testify of all truths. I promise all of you that if you keep the commandments, and live worthy to have the Holy Ghost, the Lord will answer all of your questions, concerns, and help you with all your problems.
Even though all of the investigators we teach are actors, it is amazing how the spirit will still testify and help you teach. I love this gospel, and am so proud and happy to be a representative of Jesus Christ! I can't wait until I get to head out to Des Moines and teach His gospel to those that stand in need of it. Because I know that we can all return to live with our Father in Heaven through our Savior's atoning sacrifice. We always need to be mindful of the Savior's sacrifice so that when we are tempted we can think of him and be strengthened.
Well I hope all is well where ever youu are, and I love and miss all of you!! Stay true to the faith!!
Love always

Well, Elder Elder has been in the MTC for six days now and he is loving it! He leaves October 3rd for Iowa. Here is is first letter.

Dear family and friends,
well i only have a few minutes to write but i will do my best to share with you what all is going on here at the MTC. First of all I want to tell you how much the spirite of the lord is here. it is amazing. everywhere you go missionaries are praying, reading, and studying. Everyone here is very dedicated in learning what we all must know to become successful missionaries. We got to class twice a day and have many other activities that keep us very busy. but i really do love it here.
So yesturday We all had the oportunity to watch and listen to a fireside from the director of proseliting, brother watson. His message was about the Book of Mormom! it was such an amazing talk. so spiritual. i dont know if they post MTC firesided online, but if they do i strongly encourage everyone to watch it. because if you do I know that your testimonys of the Book of Mormon will grow so much, I know mine did. It was such an inspirational talk. I know that I will always think of the Book of Mormon differently now! It is so much more than I thought.
so as i write this email there is a timer counting down from 4 minutes, so i have to hurry. ha. it will sign me out if i go over. so i have to hurry.
Anyway my companion here at the MTC is Elder Calridge. he is an elder from AZ. he is a pretty good guy. however for some reason or another he thinks that cucumbers are a melon... As far as i know cucumbers are vegitables... but i guess i could be wrong. haha. besides this me and my companion have gotten along just fine here, and are teaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ pretty good.
I got one minute!!! Awww!!! I miss all of you and wish you the best!! CHOOSE THE RIGHT!! i know that as you do choose the right you will be blessed
